The Science Garden was founded by scientists from the TRDC who were extremely concerned about the state of science education in the region. The mission is simple: To radically improve the quality of science education in the region working in cooperation with the various stakeholders: children, teachers, parents, and the educational establishment. After extensive dialogue with educators, the founders realized they needed to:

  •  Develop a holistic vision that would serve children the early learning through high school.
  • Work intensively with schools both to bring children to the Garden and to improve science teachers' capacities.
  • Develop teaching programs suited for different children and different ages
  • Work simultaneously both on experiential while inculcating the basic elements of scientific investigation at all ages.
